Error when opening files

[Greek Dunigan]

I receive the following error message when opening documents in either word
and excell.
A document with the name "Whatever.xls" is already open. You cannot open two
documents with the same name even if the documents are in different
folders...

I can just disregard the message and everything seems fine. I just don't
understand what is causing the message.
