Error when printing to MS Office Document Image Writer (mdigraph.d

When attempting to print to the document image writer, I'm getting an access
read error (variable hexidecimal address) in 'mdigraph.dll' followed by a
drop to the desktop. Anybody else experienced this problem and have any
fixes?

Hi D.K.

What version of Office and Windows are you using.

It's possible that you have mismatched versions of the MDIgraph.dll file on the PC. Does this happen if you set the printer
preferences/properties to TIF or .MDI file format?

Windows XP Pro, SP2 with IE 7.0 final release installed
Office 2003, SP2

Both programs are fully updated with Microsoft Update

I haven't changed the default output format, so .MDI as opposed to .TIF

Thank you for the response. I will continue to monitor.

Hi DK.,

It's possible for a mismatched version of a file to be present or to conflict with another add-in even when 'fully updated'

Do you still get the problem if you do change the print to format to TIF for testing?

Have you run a Repair/Reinstall of Microsoft Office 2003 from Add/Remove Programs in the Windows control panel?

Correction: .MDI output works, .TIF output does not

I ran the repair as mentioned below, no change in the results. I can,
however, print successfully in either output from Word. The problem appears
to be restricted to a single program: ProSystems fx Practice. However, when
I contacted them for support, they claimed the error I described was the
fault of Document Image Writer.

If you can provide further assistance, thank you. If the restriction to
this single non-Microsoft application causes a problem, I'll go back to their
tech support and try again.

Thanks!
