Error when starting word

Hi

I have just upgraded to windows XP (from Windows 98) and every time I now
open word for the first time the following message appears:

''The Create Adobe PDF monitor can not be found. Please reinstall create
adobe PDF''

I have tried downloading various programs from the Adobe website but haven't
been able to cure the problem.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as this is starting to annoy me

The PDF monitor is locally installed due to you having Adobe Acrobat. Either
reinstall that product or look for a patch update for yoru version from
Adobe.com
