Error with Office 2000 setup?

Hi,

I have a Windows NT machine which used to have Office 97 on it, I
uninstalled Office 97 and tried installing Office 2000 however it produced
an error "Installation Ended Prematurely because of an error". I have gone
through the registry and removed any key related to Office but with no joy.
Has anyone come across this before? Would appreciate the help.

You don't mention if there's a number with your error. A search of
Microsoft's Knowledge base for the error message you quote returned the
