When opening a Word document, I receive the following
error:

The document name or path is not valid. . .

Any suggestions?

Without knowing what version of Word you are using or any additional
details, if this error occurs on all Office documents and you also use
Norton AV then go to Norton Options and in the Miscellaneous section
turn off "Enable Office Plug-in".

If that doesn't rectify the problem then please post back with
additional details such as the version of Word you are using, if the
error occurs on all documents, if you have tried opening the document
using File/Open or if you are opening the documents by double-clicking
them in an Exploring window.

Hi,

I am not sure in what scenario you are getting this error. Please provide
more details about your problem, what version of word you are using and in
what version of word the sample document was created etc... etc... I am
attaching few knowledge base articles below, which might address your
