It seems that there a LARGE number of people that have been affected
by Nortons latest update. I hope Microsoft has the GUTS to post in
large letters, a note about this on the front page of their web site,
and to direct everyone to the appropriate Norton phone number/e-mail
address where they can register a complaint and help to insure that
Symantec will imediatly own up to the error in LARGE print on the
front of their home page, and will provide an imediate option to
remove the offending update, and give a promise that fixing the
defective update is now a #1 PRIORITY and post a time when we should
be able to get that update. I have had at least 10 customers call me
today complaning about this problem. I wonder if MacAfee would like to
post something on their home page that would in effect give Norton a
hard time for putting out a major bug like this and at the same time
recommend their product as PERMANENT solution to these kind of
problems. This might help light a fire under Symantecs tail end to fix
the problem. And get MacAfee a little extra biz. Now it may not sound
like it, but up till now I hve been a Norton fan and have been
promoting it to all my customers. Perhaps it is time to re-think that.
Mind you, these are just my suggestions and opinions....I could be
wrong....
