European date format for PWA and project

Paul Linscott

Hi,

Does anyone know what settings I need to set or patches I need to install to
use the European date format? Currently the date format is MM/DD/YYYY. I need
DD/MM/YYYY. I have the English PWA and Project server versions. Windows
Server is also English. I set the region to Italy on the server. I've also
installed the Italien MUI pack for Project Server, but neither helped.

thx

Maybe this will help a little. Back in February, Novica B wrote:

The default language on P/Svr is English (US) however being from Australia
we proefer English (AU) the only difference is the date format.
The problem was that there is only one version of the language pack for
english.
The go around for this is to change the scripting in one of teh files and
this sets the country to AUS. which fixes the problem.

Thanks Malin and Reid. I seen the board entry, but I thought the fix was
dealing with WSS solely, so I didn't go any further. We do not use WSS at the
moment. If I recall I would need to make a change in a WSS file. This would
mean that the WSS has to be installed first. I will review the board entry
again. Thx for the input.

cheers

The problem with European dates have been resolved. What we did:

1. Open Control Panel Regional and Language Option
2. On Regional Options/Standards and Formats, select the preferred language
i.e. English
3. Next to the language selection choose Customize
4. Select the Date tab
5. Change the date format as required
6. Accept changes

Rgs,

Paul
