Hi

Some days ago we posted a message asking how to evaluate our site
Users suggested posting a link here.

Here's our site: http://www.translationpacks.com

It's our "beta" site, not ready for the public

All opinions are welcome. Thanks very much for your help

For me it's starting to look great. Specially if your final design will retain a simple design it has. I'm like those who think that the content of the site should get the attention and not the design. Again is only my opinion

PD. Sorry for the spelling mistakes if any. English is not my primary language.

You should apply a background colour to your pages, or browsers will impose
their own default colours. My system is set to use a light grey background
as default (which, IMO, enhances your home page, but does nothing for the
other pages). In Netscape 4 the background defaults to a mid grey - not
very nice!

If you want it to remain white then just choose white in the page background
properties and not to automatic.

another thing you might experiment with is if you create a logo for your
site. take the logo and insert it into a plan white canvas an little larger
then the image itself and then fade it into the background of the canvas so
you can just barely see it. then use this as your background. it will tile
and give an affect to your site. but make sure its well faded or it will
stand out much. and make sure that there is enough white space around the
actual logo so that when it tiles if does not repeat itself to much.

here is an example but I would fade it in even more in your case. on the top
menu bar, click the last button on the right. ( This site is under major
renovations ).

I caught a typo: "we evaluate the job and send you and e-mail"

"and e-mail" should be "an e-mail." This is especially important on a site
that advertises editorial work. I would suggest you have someone look over
the whole site for typos and the like.

I like the nice simple, clear design.
