When i try to install my open license office 2007 profession on our windows
2003 terminal server i get an error. The event viewer shows the event ID 5000:

The description for Event ID ( 5000 ) in Source ( Microsoft Office 12 )
cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry
information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer.
You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see
Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event:
office12setup; {10120000-0f00-0000-0000--0000000ff1ce}; 12.0.4518.1014; x; 2;
x; x; x; NIL; NIL; NIL.

One more information: The server is english language and the office is
german language. I hope this is not the reason for the error.

Of course i install as administrator, i dont use any antivirus software, im
logged on directly local, i have installed all updates , ...

Can anyone help to solve this problem?

Hi lumitron324,

Office 2007 is 'language neutral' so the issue shouldn't be from the language mix. You may want to review the procedure for using a
volume licensed Office edition on MS Office Terminal Server in the Office 2007 Resource Kit at
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc179072(TechNet.10).aspx

I have the exact same error when trying to install office 2007 onto our TS.
Windows Server 2003 R2.

I do not even get to a place to enter the license key... it blows up and
says, do you want to send a report to MS.
