Hi

I have about 8 client machines running outlook 2003 which connect through to
a business contact manager. When I set this up a few months ago I had an
old win 2000 server hanging around doing nothing. So I decided to setup
business contact manager on this machine (using the desktop SQL2000
engine) - this server does nothing else. All is fine but every now an again
the business contact manager freezes and cause all the clients to restart
their outlook programs. I have looked on the server and can see this is an
event id 7031 details below.

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Service Control Manager
Event Category: None
Event ID: 7031
Date: 07/09/2006
Time: 15:33:30
User: N/A
Computer: XXXXX
Description:
The MSSQL$MICROSOFTSMLBIZ service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this
4 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 0 milliseconds:
No action.

This will normally cleanup on a reboot of the server only to reappear a few
days later. I cannot find any logs for the business contact manager which
tell me anything new. In addition I have set the service for the desktop
engine to recover on the first 2 errors but all this does is bide me a
little time.

Has anyone else seen this error and it there a cure?

Is there anywhere else I can get more information about what could be
happening?

Should I move the business contact manager to a SQL 2000 server and apply
registry hacks to the client machines?

Thanks in advance

Tim
