Event invitation auto-delete bug in 2008

Ever since I upgraded to 2008, event invitations are automatically
deleted from my inbox whenever I accept or decline them. 2004 did not
have this bug/bad-feature. Is there any way to turn this unwanted/
interfering help off?

Now, I wouldn't mind if they were automatically deleted AFTER the
event occurs, but certainly not beforehand.

This is indeed a change in behavior in Entourage 2008 from Entourage
2004 and it is by design.

Consider the event "moved" to the calendar rather than "copied" to the
calendar. Having it appear in two places doesn't really make sense. From
the calendar, you can still Decline, Accept Tentatively or Forward the
message just like you could do with the one you saw in the Inbox.

Should the event have an attachment then it will be copied to the
calendar unless you're using the Exchange Web Services version of
Entourage, which instead moves the event to the calendar and can support
attachments within the event itself.

Hope this helps!
