Event Logs

We are running Project 2002 Server with Project Professional. I am
the Project Administrator. Our company's server team handled the
installation on the server. Does Project 2002 create Event Logs?
Where can I find these logs to view them? We are having some
performance issues and I need to see any logs produced. There are
activity logs created on the SQL Server put is there any additional
logs created from Project ?

Do the following to examine the event logs for Project Server:

1. Log on with administrator permissions to the server where Project Server
is installed
2. Right-click on the My Computer icon
3. Select Manage from the shortcut menu
4. Expand the Event Viewer
5. Select the Application log
6. Look for Errors and Warnings in the event log
7. Double-click any Error or Warning to display the Event Properties dialog
8. Examine the information in the dialog and attempt to determine the
meaning of the Error or Warning



In addition, you should keep an eye on the ViewDrop folder on the server.
Look for unprocessed XML packages as a result of Errors in the Event Log.
