event table placement

I want to put 48 numbered tables for guests to set at at an event on a paper
and can't figure out how to do this

Start with a blank page and create a shape that represents your table, then,
with that shape selected, go to the menu bar > Insert > Field > Object Info >
ID and click OK. This should be the 1st object, and a "1" should appear in
the middle. Now, just copy and paste (cntl-D). Each new object should
increment by 1.
