Events / Services that will be Monitored in Project Serevre 2007 &

Hey Guys,

I am looking your help if someone guife me. We are implementing a Monitoring
Tool(Solarwind) for the Project Server and WSS and also monitor the Windows
server.
I am wondering if some one provide me the list of the evets/ services/
application which we will include in our monitring list. So that our
envirnoment working properly.

Hi,

I had this question with a customer once before and had following conclusion:
if server hardware (cpu, memory and harddisks) are monitored, then you only
need to check if the home page PWA is available. When the webserver returns
no errors after the request, the system is properly running (application,
databases are running).
On top of this, you can add monitor to all the 'project server' and
'sharepoint' services that are configured to 'automatic' starting. These
should be running.
