Ever since I've upgraded to MS Office 2007 random program are free

I don't understand why this is. Since I've installed MS Office 2007, Outlook
is closing on it's own, other programs are freezing.

Are these simply kinks that will work themselves out with auto updates or
does this suggest something else?

Start with Help, Office Diagnostics. Did you upgrade from an earlier version
or is this a clean install?

Actually no. I'm coming from outlook express, which I had uninstalled and
then installed outlook.
I've cured the problem by dwl updates from microsoft and everything seems ok
now.
I also ran the diagnostics and all is clear, so we're good.
