Everything to Junk Mail Folder

I am running Office 2003 with all updates. I am not running any other
anti-spam software. I have the Junk Mail filters in Outlook turned off (No
Automatic Filtering). I don't have any Rules set. Yet everything still goes
to the Junk Mail folder
first - except for those things I've marked as 'Safe Senders'. How do I get
Junk Mail settings to work? Thanks.

Steve,

It sure does sound like the option - " only email from those in the safe
sender list" is selected. Did you check this under Tools - Options - Junk
Email

Also you may want to still consider running another anti-spyware program as
not all will be prevented necessarily by the Junk Email filter.

Francine,

Thanks for the inut but I have checked and rechecked. I have "No Automatic
Filtering..." checked. But it still acts like the "Safe List Only" option is
checked.

I am confused by your anti-spyware comment. I AM running an anti-spyware
program, Spy Sweeper. In the orginal message, I stated I wasn't running
another anti-spam program which could conflict with Outlook.

But, still everything gets sent to the Junk mail folder no matter the option
selected. What am I missing?

Thanks.

Have you tried starting Outlook in Safe Mode? Click Start>Run and in the
Open field enter

"%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office\Office11\Outlook.exe" /safe

Include the quotes and spaces. See how it behaves. If it behaves properly,
you have an add-in that is interfering. Also, disable the spyware
temporarily while you test.
