Excel 2000 document opening extremely slow

I have this excel document that previously opened fine, but one day it
started opeing slowly on Excel 2000. Here's the catch, I work on this
document at home on Office 2003 (or XP I forget) and it opens fine (and no
its not a PC issue as my laptop at home is slower than my desktop at work)
This document is heavy on VBA scripting, and has in the past exceeded 8 megs
(but now is down to 5.57megs) and even then it would open faster than it does
now (between 5 and 10 mins). I have exported all of the files from an older
version of the file and my most recent one and DIFF'd them to each other and
found no major differences code wise or document wise... and have even went
through and enabled the references in the newer version identically to the
older version (even in precedence order).

What could be causing this problem? I have searched in Google and never
found any relevant pages that explain it... PLEASE help... as it's getting
annoying opening a document and going for a break while it opens...
