Excel 2000 footnotes and cell superscript number

Can anyone advise how to annotate a cell with a superscript number tha
directs the reader to a numbered footnote

Hi
Excel does not support this kind of footnotes (like MS Word does). The
closest thing are comments ('Insert - Comment')
