Excel 2000, patialy update.

Hello, people

I'm using Excel 2000, i've got a worksheet containing about a 100
references tot still unexisting workbooks. These workbooks will be made
during a year time. the problem is that now I can only do an update at
startup of the workbook. this update give about, 90 "can't find file,
locate dir." errors. wich i have to click away. (lots of clicking
believe me)

what i whant is "no automatic update" --- (may not be able)

or.


To be able to parialy update my worksheet. by, let's say selecting a
bunce of cells and updating them in a way. ??


????? plz help, me this shit is driving me insane ??

As the files don't exist, there is obviously no data required from them.

Create one dummy file and replace all links to the other files to this
dummy.

Then as each file is created, alter the relevant links.
