Can anyone help? When I open MSExcel 2000 even though I
have a default printer specified I have to manualy select
my printer everytime - this does not happen in any other
MSApps I am running SP3.

Also in MSExcel is thre a quicker way to select multipe
rows and columns without holding down "shift and page
down"?

Thanks very much in advance for all your reply's

regarding selection of multiple rows/columns-- assuming there are no blank
cells in the top row and first column, select the upper left cell in your
desired range. While holding down the SHIFT key, press END then the DOWN
arrow, press END again and then the RIGHT arrow. All cells will now be
selected.

Just a guess for the printer--have you removed that printer and reinstalled the
driver?

(I think that this was a suggestion to similar questions when xl2k first
appeared.)

And if you know the rows you want to select, you can type the address in the
name box and hit enter:

3:823

will select 3 through 823.

You can do that with any range: B9:c13 (for instance).

If I'm using the mouse, I like to start at the bottom right, and select that
cell.

Then drag the "elevators" up and to the left (in the scroll bars). Then
Shift-click on the TopLeftCell.
