G Gareth Jan 15, 2004 #2 have you of formulae which 'look' at the data being filtered? I found that if you have SUMPRODUCT or other similar functions calculating the data being filtered than the status bar does not work. If you set Calculation to Manual it will work, but remember to switch back to Automatic afterwards. Gareth
