Excel 2002 - Network share - save as error

Office 2002 SP 3. A user opens a .xls spreadsheet on a
server share. They make some changes and then select save
as.

When they rename the file with a space in the file name,
it hangs for about 30 seconds then generates the following
popup error:

Disk is full ( I click OK and then...)

Document not saved

Also, over the system tray appears an event, which is also
written to the event viewer.

Event ID 50
Source MRxSmb
(Delayed Write Failed) Windows was unable to save all the
data for the file \Device\LanmanRedirector. The data has
been lost. The error may be caused by a failure of your
computer hardware or network connection. Please try to
save this file elsewhere.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Microsoft has an available hotfix to solve this specific problem. Thi
hotfix is not contained in some other hotfix.
It is not an Excel issue, actually.
If you can't wait for the next SP, You have to contact MS for receivin
the fix
