Excel 2003 Formula

I want to somehow input a formula that depending on what is inputted, it
would referenc in a certain cell then the information from that cell would be
automatically entered into a third cell. Example: If I put in a 1, it would
enter the info from cell A1 into B1, But if I enter a 2 it would enter the
info from A2 into B1. Is it possible to do this?

I think what you are looking for is a VLOOKUP or HLOOKUP function.
Look up either function in Help and see if it describes what you are
looking for.
