Excel 2003 with XP SP2 prints everything twice

Excel 2003 with XP SP2 prints everything twice in a single domain setting.
Does anyone know how to stop this? Clicking / selecting print 1 should give
one.
All other office products print as defined. I did not change or add
anything to the server. Day 1 all is good > Day 2 Excel prints twice???
I checked all print options in Excel and on the printer, they are set to
print 1 copy.
I do NOT have a macro installed.
I installed updates from Microsoft, both for the OS and for Office. All is
up to date - no difference.
I tried Excel's repair - no difference.
I reinstalled Office - no difference.
I reinstalled the OS - no difference -> That's the kicker there!

What happens if you install a second copy of the same printer?

I did indeed do that too. I completely removed all instances and
reinstalled. I updated the drivers too. Updated the server. Hmm. I even
installed the printer on a different server. Hmmm again.

I am confuzzled by this one.
