Excel 2003 won't close properly

When I close excel it gives me the error 'Microsoft Office Excel ha
encountered a problem and needs to close' it does this everytime.
First I did a repair and it didnt help. Then I reinstalled whole offic
and it didnt help either. I also did a ccleaner session after th
deinstallation.
Is something known about this what a reinstall can't fix?

Boot your PC up in Safe Mode, retest excel, does it exhibit the same
problem?

When I go into save mode something is a little different. In save mode
can close the workbook without error and then close excel without error
If I close excel while the workbook is still open it gives me the sam
error.

The above isn't possible when I start windows in normal mode.

If it closes ok in Safe mode then likely it means some Office/excel add-in
is causing a problem. The first suspect would be any intergrated anti virus
add-in
