I created a pivot table in Excel 2003 using data from a worksheet within the
same workbook. The table is displayed correctly. If I save the file to the
97 - 2003 format so that users using version 2000 can view it, I encounter
some issues. The file saves properly although once the file is open with
Excel 2000, the pivot table and data appears for a second or so and then the
data is removed but the table and columns remain. I noticed that the
document is being changed because as I exit Excel I am prompted to save the
changes when in fact no changes were made except those which Excel made
during the opening of the document. There are no macros or any vba code
running in this document. If anyone has any insight, I would greatly
appreciate it.
