Excel 2007 stalling when WiFi on

This has been getting worse and now it is completely unusable! I can't find
anything on the 'net other than an unresolved issue (in MS support
discussion) where '07 is waay slower than '03!
With the WiFi button turned on, clicking on a cell first gets no reaction,
clicking more brings on the blue circle, another click brings on the white
cast to the whole screen.
'Escape' does not work. Task Manager can remove the program but the results
are the same when reopened. I have updated Vista, Office, BIOS and reloaded
the Bluetooth driver to no affect. I have tried restarting and cold boots,
but no change.

No other programs are affected in any way, a least that I have noticed.
When not connected to WiFi, track pad works fine in Excel. The only way I
can get it to work now is to plug in the ethernet cable and then I use a
wired mouse as I am not that fast with the track pad.

Not sure if this is related, but this machine is prone to random BSoDs which
Vista says is the video driver or BIOS but recommended updates have not
helped that. And Toshiba (lack of) help blames on the OS! How can that be?

Toshiba laptop Satellite P300 Intel Core 2 Duo P7450 2.13 GHz 4 GB RAM
64-bit Vista Home Premium with Samsung 2693HM extended monitor and MS
Notebook Presenter Mouse 8000 (Bluetooth)

Any ideas greatly appreciated!
