Somehow I protected a workbook. Everytime I try to open the file i get
prompted for a password. I know the password, but how do I remove the
password lock entirely. Thanks

how do I remove the password lock entirely

WIth the file open, choose File....Save As.

Then within the Save As Dialog box, choose Tools....General Options.

There you can adjust / remove the password settings.
