Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

I have searched but haven't found a solution in the forums to my problem. Using Excel 2008 for Mac and it now locks up upon launch of the one and only worksheet I created or when just launching Excel from the dock....I opened the worksheet in Numbers and everything works fine.... any help or suggestions would be appreciated!

Programs which hang on launch often do so for one of two reasons;

1- They and/or the OS haven't been updated,

2- Disk Permissions need to be repaired.

Confirm that those concerns have been addressed & restart your Mac.

If those steps don't resolve the issue try launching Excel in a different
User Account. Reply with your results.

Thanks so much for your reply. All updates are current for the OS and Office.

When I log up under a newly created account, Excel launches fine. However, under my admin logon excel locks up upon launch as does the worksheet.

Well, then there is something "fishy" with your main account. You can try to
determine and fix the cause, or simply migrate everything to the new user
account that does work.
