Excel 2008 Status bar

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel This is a (probably) dumb question....

On Windows with Excel 2007, if you select 3 numeric items, the status will show information like the sum, the count max and min etc.

I need this on excel 2008, but can't see where it is turned on. On another post (http://www.officeformac.com/ms/ProductForums/Excel/4841/0) it appears to be working.

Anyone out there tell me where to switch this on?

I should add. All my status bar says is 'Ready"

Click in the blank space to the left of "SCRL" in the Status Bar & select
the operation you want to have displayed there.
