I'm using Office 97 on a Windows 98 machine. Whenever I start Excel, I
get the following error message: "*Normal.dot:
file format is not valid.*" When I click OK, Excel starts fine.
I searched the computer for files named Normal.dot but the only file I
found was a Word template. I'm not sure if this is the same file as
mentioned in the error message.
What is causing Excel to display this message? What can I do to fix it?
Help.
