Excel 97 - unique values in one column

I would like to spesify validation for 100 cells in one column, s
values inserting in every next sell to be unique in relation to th
preceding

Say your list is in A1:A100.

Select A2:A100 and then
data|validation
Allow: Custom
Formula: =COUNTIF($A$1:A2,A2)=1


If you didn't care what order, you could select A1:A100 and use a formula of
=COUNTIF($A$1:$A$100,A1)=1
