Excel 98 running in Excel X and Mac OS X environment

If a user has only Mac OS X and Excel X on their machine,
can they still run a workbook that was created and saved
in Excel 98/OS 92.?

Yes, the latest versions use the same file format. So there should be no
problem to open/save workbooks from 98/2001/v.X
