Excel, a mind of its own

I am using an Excel application which is macro driven. The application
is password protected, the tools are disables and I am the only one who
can make changes to the macros, formulas and links.

The Problem: Excel seems to hav a mind of its own. I have found the
security level changes preventing use of the macros, formulas and links
hav disappeared for no apparent reason.

Has anyone else had this problem and is there a solution?

Thanks for you input
James T.

I can reset the security level myself. The problem is that I set the
security level then I protect the sheet and disable the tools to
prevent anyone else from making a change. Everything works fine for
several days and then for no apparent reason the security level is
reset to it's maximum which disables the use of the macros.

Maybe someone else using the PC is re-setting the security levels when
you are not there.

The Tools are disabled so no one else can get into the options to
change the security level.
