Excel /Access give different results based on the same data

I'm working from an Excel spreadsheet that is requesting a percentage from
the recipent Several more formulas and fields calculate off of the
percentage, resulting in a final dollar amount. I then enter the final
dollar amount from excel into an access database. When we run reports from
access it does not reflect the same percentage rate as the excel spreadsheet.
They are only off by .01 - .04% of a percent and does not change the final
dollar amount. I have looked at all the rounding in all the formulas and
calculations in Excel and Access and cannot find a reason for this percentage
to vary, mathmatically it is correct both ways, however I need the percentage
in Excel and the Access report to match. Any thoughts or ideas of what to
try or how to troubleshoot?

I would try using "currency" type fields in ms-access. Excel stores the data
in a different way, and with a different precision.

Your best bet here is to ensure that all the ms-access data is of type
currency. Note that currency type data files only have 4 decimal places.

I would first try the above idea. And, if your calculates are "code", I
would also suggest used currency type fields.
