Excel and word file problems

I am operating on Vista at home but at work we are on XP. When I email an
excel or word document home to work on over the evening Vista will not open
them. Can you help me please.

Vista does not open Office documents. To open and edit Word or Excel
documents you need to have the applications installed on your home computer.
To just view the Word or Excel documents at home, you need to have the free
Microsoft viewers installed.

Your operating system is not what's causing the issue - chances are it's the
version of Office you are using. You really haven't given us anything to
work with. What happens when you try? Which versions of Office are you
using?

Hi Thanks for the message, I appologise for the stupid comment, I do have
office on my computer but it will not open files from my work computer. Any
thoughts?

Do you possibly have Office 2007 at work and a previous version at home?
