"Excel cannot complete this task with available resources."

I have a few users who randomly but frequently (2-3 times a day) get the
error "Excel cannot complete this task with available resources. Choose less
data or close other applications." When you click OK, another error comes up:
"Not enough system resources to display completely." We are all using Excel
2007, and this seems to happen randomly, without regard to the actual size of
workbooks.

Diagnostic, repair, and full reinstall have not helped the issue. Some of the
users have the Capital IQ plugin, and I have removed that, to no avail. Most
of the users have 2GB of RAM, but I gave one user 3GB, which did not resolve
the issue. Most of the users have 2 monitors, but Excel is displaying in only
one of them.

Any ideas?

I have same problem. Also 2 monitors using NIVIDIA driver. As well as the
"resources" errors sometimes also produces crazy-tails & slow-paints & small
scraps of old screens images.
