Excel Cannot Paste the data

I have a "macro button" in a workbook that I am trying to copy and paste to
another workbook and I get the error that it cannot paste the data. When
trying to paste it to other existing workbooks or a new one it works fine. I
just can't seem to get the button in the workbook I want. I have checked and
there is no protection on any cells in the workbook and nothing is readonly.
I don't know what else to check.

FRUSTRATED TO THE BITTER END!!!

have you checked the macro itself. maybe it is only set to function within
certain cells. also try and do an update to your office. sometimes that is a
good fix.
