EXCEL - cell borders

Hi all, just purchased Office, in Excel When you click on a cell to copy etc,
the border around the cell flash's. I need to know how to permanently turn
off the flashing. I know to esc for each action, but as a migraine suffer
need to turn off this funtion.

PLEASE help

I don't know of any way to turn off the flashing border when you copy a
cell. However, you could drag the cell to a new location, and the
flashing won't occur --

Select the cell that you want to copy
Hold the Ctrl key
Drag the cell to a new location
Release the mouse button, then release the Ctrl key

To drag a copy of the cell to a different sheet --
Select the cell that you want to copy
Hold the Ctrl key and the Alt key
Drag the cell to the sheet tab to which you want to copy it
Drag the cell to the location on the sheet
Release the mouse button, then release the Ctrl key
