Excel chart into a PowerPoint presentation

Hi,

I have inserted an Excel chart into a PowerPoint presentation by doing the
following:

1. On the Insert menu, click Object
2. Click the Create from File option, and then click Browse button
3 In the list of files, click Excel file, and then click OK
4. Click OK

PowerPoint embedded the chart, but on all four sides of it, parts of or a
few gridlines are visible. The only work-around I could come up with is
creating a transparent box with a color border to place around the chart.
However, I would rather just get rid of the gridlines. Does anyone know how
to fix this problem?

If you're talking about a graph, you need to take the
gridlines out in Excel.

If you're talking about a table and you don't need to
maintain the formulas, you need to first, delete all of
the grid lines in your Excel docment, then select the
desired text in Excel, copy it, then paste it in your PPT
document. It copies as a table. You'll need to reformat,
but now you won't have the lines (or if you do, you can
delete them within PowerPoint.

In the Excel file, go to Tools/Options and turn off the gridlines on the
View tab.

Then reinsert into PPT.
