I'm sure you all have answered this exact question because it must be common.
I just can't find the answer.

I want a cmd button on my form that runs a report, analyzes it with excel
and opens excel in one click.

Any code?

Create a macro with the OutputTo action.

It might not be a good idea though: due to legal problems with the code that
outputs to Excel, this ability has been removed from the most recent version
of Access, and the Service Packs are breaking it in previous versions.

Hi Allen,
do you know if it is just the Output To function that is affected?

I haven't yet upgraded to A2007. Are you saying that there is no way to
link or export to excel, that analyze it with excel has gone as well in
A2007?
Do I understand correctly that in addition the export functionality is going
to be removed from previous versions of Access? Meaning that code that puts
reports into excel will not continue to work?
