excel copyright issues

I have an editor who is wondering whether the charts
I produce with Excel might in anyway impinge on the Excel copyright.

I assume not, but wonder how I can demonstrate that.

As long as you created the charts I see no problem. But obviously that is
not a legal opinion ;)
