The only success I have had is going into MS Access and importing one sheet
off the spreadsheet at a time. If your spreadsheet has multiple sheets in
it, and you are lucky enough that the corrupted part is not on the sheet(s)
you need, you can get data out this way, though the format may not be exactly
the same.
I have no Apple experience but hopefully this Access technique may help!
