I have a pretty simple chart I created in a new spreadsheet. There are 5
data series with 12 data points in each. I've plotted these to an X-Y
Scatter Chart in which I have smoothed lines over the data points.
When I try to edit the series and change the characteristics of the
superimposed lines (from a solid line to a dashed line), Excel locks up and I
have to force quit?
This is a simple spreadsheet with very few data points but it happens every
time I try. I have other spreadsheets with charts (many more points and more
complicated) that do not have this problem.
