Excel crashes when doing Save As

Excel apparently tries to do some calculations, but freezes at the
"100%" point (as shown in the status bar). Then the whole program
crashes (prompts for reporting error and performing recovery).

This happens with:
* a particular workbook
* on different computers
when:
* doing Save As and altering file name or location, both manually or
with VBA
