Hi Sue,

excel 2003.

hsaddin.dll is part of Hyperion AFAIK. Try if removing the hyperion addin
resolves your issue. It may be listed in the COM addins list, which is really
hard to get at:

Right click toolbar, select Customize. Click Commands tab. Click Tools item on
the left. Find COM Add-ins... in the list and drag it to your menu or a
toolbar. Close customisation dialog. Click COM addins menu item.

Hi Jan
unfortunately there seems to be no one action which always closes excel, the
only common denominator is that anyone who has Hyperion installed has the
problem of excel just closing when cutting and pasting or even just typing,
(even when hyperion not connected) the pc does not crash and the .xls that
was being worked on does not corrupt. Various errors show on the
ComputerManagement application event viewer two which I have mentioned. The
pc has enough memory as advised by Hyperion support and is office 2003 sp3 so
running out of ideas now!

Sounds like Hyperion has work to do then.
