Excel date problem

Hi,

Could anyone help me, please?

When I type a date in a cell in Excel, for ex. 8 March 06, and press
Enter, Excel corrects me and displays 23 Sept 37. This has never
happened before and Excel keeps doing this.

Does anyone know how I can make Exel stop doing this?

Thanks very much,

Jason

Thanks very much for your reply, but I have already tried thois and it
did not solve the problem. However, I have found it. I can correct it
by typing =TODAY() in the cell and press Enter. The () are two
brackets.

Cheers,

Jason
