Excel DIV/O

I know how to put a formula into a cell to change the above reference error
message to reflect zero, however is there a way to do it with a range. Such
as
=if(H11:H18=0,"",(average(h11:H18

I'm not sure what you are asking exactly but I typically use something like:
=IFERROR(AVERAGE(H11:H18),0)
