Excel does not load file after opening from Desktop.

Here's a weird one: when one of our users saves an excel file to her desktop,
when she re-opens Excel by clicking on the shortcut/icon on her desktop Excel
itself opens but the sile/workbook does not load up; you need to open the
file from within Excel itself. This ONLY happens with Excel (not Word,
etc.), and still happens after a full install of Office. The user said the
problem began after copying an .xls workbook from a flash drive. We are
thinking it's an infection of some kind, but if anyone out there has had a
similar problem and was able to resolve it please advise. Thank you. -- MJQ

No bug, No virus! Click on Tools, Options. Select the General tab, and
untick Ignore other applications.
