Excel does not Respond

Whenever I am in excel and I try to browse to a folder on
the menu, I double click on the open folder icon and
excel does not respond. The same problem is occuring
with Word. I can log off of this user profile and log
back in with another user profile and both excel and word
function properly. I have also tried a re-install, and a
restore point and these have both failed. Any idea's?

Check to see if you have mapped network drives that are not available. This
will cause a 1-2 minute delay when browsing for files in office
applications.
